Divine Service We gather together every Sunday at 10:00 am for the Divine Service, in which our gracious Lord serves us with His forgiveness, which we receive through Word and Sacrament. Holy Absolution Pastor Ritter is available by appointment for Private Absolution (as taught in Luther’s Small Catechism). Private Absolution is used by pastors to bring forgiveness and healing into the lives of those who come to them with troubled and anxious hearts. All confessions are kept in strictest confidence. Prayer and Spiritual Counsel Pastor Ritter is available (most Saturdays from 9:00 to 10:00 am and by appointment) to pray with and provide spiritual counsel for those with doubts, questions, and concerns. Catechesis (Instruction in the Christian Faith) Those desiring membership at Trinity are asked to speak with Pastor Ritter. In order to receive the Sacrament of our Lord’s Supper, instruction in the Christian Faith according to the Scriptures and Luther’s Small Catechism is necessary. There is no fee or obligation for instruction. Visitation of the Hospitalized and Homebound Pastor Ritter regularly visits those members of the Parish who are hospitalized or homebound. Visitation includes Scripture readings, prayers, and the Lord’s Supper. Please contact Pastor Ritter if you know of someone in need of pastoral visitation. For emergencies, Pastor Ritter is on call 24 hours a day. Bible Study We currently offer Bible studies on Sunday and Thursday mornings (September to May). Please see the bulletin for the schedule. Sunday School Children ages 3 to 18 are invited to attend our Sunday School at 9:00 am on Sundays from September to May. Lessons center around well-known stories of the Bible. There is no cost or fee. Confirmation Confirmation is a public rite of the Church that is preceded by a period of instruction designed to help baptized Christians identify with the life and mission of the Christian community. The rite of Confirmation provides an opportunity for the individual Christian, relying on God’s promise given in Holy Baptism, to make a personal public confession of the faith and lifelong pledge of fidelity to Christ. Children in 5th grade and above are invited to participate in Trinity’s confirmation ministry. |
